The field for the tournament will be 156 players.
a) The leading 30 available players (ranked within the top 200) from the Official World Golf Rankings as of 31st March 2011.
(b) The top 49 entries from the 2011 European Tour Exemption Category list.
(c) The top 49 entries from the 2011 OneAsia Exemption Category list.
(d) 10 players nominated by the CGA.
(e) 4 sponsor invitations.
(f) The most recent Volvo China Open Junior Champion.
(g) 13 players from the Qualifying rounds;
In the event of any of these exemptions not being taken up, the remaining places in the field will be allocated alternately to criteria (b) and (c). (The first available place being allocated to the Tour whose next eligible player has the highest Official World Golf Ranking as of 31st March 2011).
NB. Up until the European Tour closing date for entries (7th April 2011), Asian/ Australasian players who are members of and exempt through both Tours will be entered through (c) above
and players from outside Asia/Australia who are members of and exempt through both Tours will be entered through (b) above.
After this entry closing date, players will remain allocated to the Tour under which they were exempt at this point, even if they subsequently become exempt under their “home” Tour.
