SEOUL, 29th April 2010 - Today, the Korea PGA and their Tournament Players' Committee jointly confirmed their support of OneAsia, withdrawing all potential threat of boycotting future events. The decision came after further clarification of the vision and opportunities that OneAsia provides to leading Korean golfers both in Korea, as well as internationally.

This reconfirmation of support has been acknowledged by OneAsia's international founding partners, the China Golf Association and the PGA of Australia.

"OneAsia has always been about strengthening ties across Asia-Pacific and maximizing elite opportunities for all players across the region. The China Golf Association stands firmly with OneAsia on this vision," said Zhang Xiaoning, Executive Vice President & Secretary General of the China Golf Association.

"Participating countries should understand that they stand to gain a lot playing in international OneAsia events. Like China, Australia and many other countries across the Asia-Pacific, Korean participation will continue to be vital in furthering the development of golf in the region and the CGA remains committed to doing our part with OneAsia."

Max Garske, CEO of the PGA of Australia, added, "OneAsia was founded based on the interests of  leading players, so that they would ultimately have a platform that can maximise their playing opportunities in the region. This vision has not changed, nor has our belief and commitment to OneAsia."

Sang Y. Chun, OneAsia's newly inaugurated Chairman also reaffirmed the consolidated platform's resolve to continue its unprecedented growth into 2011 and beyond.

"The resolution of these misunderstandings in Korea have highlighted the need for us to keep the education process of our vision going, and this experience has simply helped strengthen our alliances," he said. " We will concentrate our efforts on continuing to build upon the OneAsia platform, as well as generating new elite opportunities across Asia-Pacific region."

The Korean leg of the OneAsia circuit kicks off at the 29th GS Maekyung Open next week from 6-9 May.
