Eagles galore as Kims share lead at GS Caltex Maekyung Open

May 6, 2010 - Big-hitting Kim Dae-hyun and fellow Korean Kim Dae-sub both snared eagles as each shot a bogey-free 67 to share the first-round lead at the 29th GS Caltex Maekyung Open, the third leg of the OneAsia season.

Japan Tour star Kim Kyung-tae, the world’s third-highest ranked Korean golfer, was also bogey free as he carded a 68 over the mountainous 6,962-yard layout at the Namseoul Country Club on the outskirts of Seoul.

Japan-based Kim eyes Maekyung glory in native Korea

Seoul, May 5, 2010: Japan Tour star Kim Kyung-tae is eyeing up his first title in three years in his native homeland as he competes in this week’s GS Caltex Maekyung Open in Seoul, OneAsia’s third event of the season.

The event, which rewards the winner with a Green Jacket, tees off on Thursday at the Namseoul Country Club.

Korean Golfers confirm support of OneAsia

SEOUL, 29th April 2010 - Today, the Korea PGA and their Tournament Players' Committee jointly confirmed their support of OneAsia, withdrawing all potential threat of boycotting future events. The decision came after further clarification of the vision and opportunities that OneAsia provides to leading Korean golfers both in Korea, as well as internationally.

This reconfirmation of support has been acknowledged by OneAsia's international founding partners, the China Golf Association and the PGA of Australia.

Bae relishing title defence at OneAsia’s Maekyung Open

SEOUL, April 29, 2010 - Korea’s Bae Sang-moon has set his sights on successfully defending the 29th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship title when the tournament debuts on OneAsia next week. The third leg of OneAsia will see Bae and the cream of Asian golf tee off at the challenging and "mountainous" Namseoul Country Club from May 6-9.
