OneAsia awards positions to Mercedes-Benz Tour for the Indonesia Open and Thailand Open

Leading players from ASEAN will play in both US$1m tournaments

SINGAPORE, 10 June, 2010 - OneAsia - Asia Pacific's professional tournament platform pathway for elite golfers - today announced that it would award a minimum of 10 spots on its eligibility criteria to leading players from the Mercedes-Benz Tour for its upcoming US$1 million tournaments in Indonesia and Thailand.

These would be additional to the 30 places at each tournament already available to local players from each host nation through OneAsia’s existing regional exemptions category.

The move to offer positions to the Mercedes-Benz Tour comes in line with OneAsia's mission to further consolidate the region's best onto one professional pathway, providing them with maximized opportunities to further their potential on home ground.

Enjoy Jakarta Renew Relationship With Indonesia Open

JAKARTA, June 8: Enjoy Jakarta will continue their exciting association with professional golf in the region by signing on as the Presenting Sponsor for the Indonesia Open, which makes its debut on the OneAsia schedule next month.

The Indonesia Open presented by Enjoy Jakarta will be played at the Damai Indah Golf - Pantai Indah Kapuk Course from July 1 to 4 and boast prize money of US$1 million.

The tournament also breaks new ground on OneAsia’s elite playing platform, which has more than doubled in size to 11 tournaments this year with a total of over US$12 million in prize money to be won.

Scott , Norman and Ogilvy Set Course for Australian Open

AUSTRALIA - June 3, 2010: Australian star Adam Scott will make a popular return to the Australian Open this year in a bid to defend his title and will be joined by his illustrious compatriots Greg Norman and Geoff Ogilvy.

The famous trio are the first big name players to confirm their participation in the prestigious tournament which will be played at The Lakes in Sydney from December 2 to 5.

For the second successive year the tournament will form the penultimate leg on OneAsia and offer a purse of US$1.3 million.

Korean young guns shoot up OneAsia Order of Merit

May 24, 2010: Bae Sang-moon was one of three young Korean stars to make big moves on the OneAsia Order of Merit as the 23-year-old jumped to sixth place with US$197,162 following his SK Telecom Open win.

Runner-up Kim Dae-hyun, the big-hitting 22-year-old who won this month’s GS Caltex Maekyung Open, leapt from fifth to second with earnings of US$248,973.
