Thailand Open reaches US$1 million mark on OneAsia

Bangkok, 10 August 2010: The Thailand Open will tee off this month with an impressive total purse of US$1 million for the first time in its history and will be played at Burapha Golf Club, one of the country’s most popular venues for tournament golf.

The prestigious championship is also making its debut on OneAsia, the exciting new series of US$1 million tournaments across Asia Pacific, and will be played from August 26 to 29.

Jupiter Golf Network to broadcast OneAsia in Japan

Hong Kong, 6 July 2010: OneAsia today announced a new agreement which will see its tournaments broadcast in Japan on cable and satellite channel GOLF NETWORK.

This agreement will extend the coverage of the tour’s events across the country’s over 6.9 million households with access to GOLF NETWORK.  Broadcast on Japan’s largest dedicated golf channel commenced early last month with coverage of Korea's GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship. 

Similarly, the live coverage and highlights of all OneAsia events will be televised alongside the network’s regular programming of top golf programmes including PGA Tour, 8 major tournaments, and both Japan's Men's and Ladies' Tours.

Hendry Records Crushing Victory in Indonesia Open presented by Enjoy Jakarta

Jakarta, July 4: New Zealand’s Michael Hendry propelled his name into the spotlight today with an emphatic seven-stroke victory in the US$1 million Indonesia Open presented by Enjoy Jakarta.  

The 30-year-old from North Harbour started the day with a one stroke lead and fired a flawless final round seven-under-par 65 at Damai Indah Golf - Pantai Indah Kapuk Course to finish comfortably ahead of second placed Liang Wenchong from China.
