Geoff Ogilvy showed his class when he claimed his first OneAsia title at the 2010 Australian Open at The Lakes Golf Club last December.

His lead never looked under threat throughout the final round of the championship with his third round lead more than enough of a buffer to hold off the chasing pack.

The win was also his second on the PGA Tour of Australasia, to add to an impressive total of eight other international career titles he has won over the past few years.

Following his maiden National Open victory, Ogilvy leapt up the world-rankings to 31 just above Asian professionals Kim Kyung-tae (32), Ryo Ishikawa (36) and fellow OneAsia champion Y.E. Yang (43).

The 33-year-old played in the Australian PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola on OneAsia the following week, but lost out to compatriot Peter Senior in a thrilling play-off.

Born in Adelaide to an English-born father Mike and Australian born mother Judy, Ogilvy turned professional in 1998 and won a European Tour card at that year's qualifying school. He later played on the PGA Tour and finished top 100 in each of his first five seasons.

Ogilvy won his first major championship at the 2006 US Open. His success moved him to the top ten of the Official World Golf Rankings at Number 8.

He is based in Del Mar, California, with his wife and children.
