About 2012 OneAsia Qualifying School
OneAsia will, for the second time, conduct a Qualifying School for playing eligibility in the 2012 season. OneAsia Qualifying School will be conducted over two (2) stages: First Stage and Final Stage.
(a) First Stage in Australia is to be conducted at the PGA Tour of Australasia Qualifying School (conducted over 2 stages at 2 courses) (b) First stage in China will be conducted at the China Golf Association Qualifying School (conducted over 1 stage at 1 course) and (c) there will also be a first stage in Malaysia (conducted over 1 stage at 2 courses) giving all participants three different options to gain eligibility on OneAsia for the 2012 season.
Players may only attempt to qualify for final stage through one First Stage only.
Not all entrants will be required to participate in First Stage as their current status may provide them with an exemption into the Final Stage. Entrants should carefully consult the list of exemption criteria outlined on page 2 of the entry form to determine if they may be exempt through to Final Stage.
Please note:- Not all entrants will be required to participate in First Stage as their current status may provide them with an exemption into the Final Stage.
- Once an application has been accepted (only after receipt of the relevant documentation and the full entry fee), applicants will be forwarded a Confirmation of Entry.
- Once entries have closed for each Stage of the Qualifying School, it is the applicant’s responsibility to verify the status of his entry.
Why OneAsia Qualifying School?
The WINNER of OneAsia Qualifying School will be eligible for membership and be exempt in Category 2 (Winner of any OneAsia Tournament and Qualifying School) for one (1) year. This will provide exemption for all OneAsia Tournaments (including any co-sanctioned events)
PLAYERS RANKED 2 THROUGH 20 and ties of OneAsia Qualifying School will be eligible for membership and be exempt in Category 5 (Top 20 + ties from OneAsia Qualifying School). We believe at this stage this category will provide players with exemption for all OneAsia Tournaments, excluding co-sanctioned events).
PLAYERS finishing between 20 and ties and 40 and ties will be eligible for membership and be exempt in Category 8 (Participants in the OneAsia Qualifying School leading 40 and ties not otherwise exempt).
Players will be ranked in accordance with their final score at Final Stage.
